Don Pearce - Chairman of the Board
Don joined the board of directors in May 2009, providing a wealth of experience and a global network of industry contacts from a long and successful career focused on sales. A recognized leader in business management, Don brings a significant track record of delivering revenue generating strategies within the high-tech sector. Beginning his career in systems and sales at IBM, he continued achieving consistent corporate growth results for more than 20 years at Amdahl Corp. He then held sales executive positions at Tarantella, StorageTek and Sun Microsystems where received numerous accolades for business excellence, including achievements such as leading his Amdahl sales team to number one in U.S. revenue for 15 consecutive years. Currently, Don serves as Vice President for the Texas division of Alliance Technology Group. Throughout his career, he has built a solid reputation for excellence in providing business solutions for his customers' processor, storage, and data management needs. As a result, he has gained trusted relationships with end-user executives, channel partners and industry experts. Don has also been involved with a wide variety of civic activities, which has led him to serve on the board of many organizations. He now serves as a member of the Advisory Board for the Computer Science Engineering Department at Southern Methodist University where he was an honors graduate with a B.S. in mathematics. He subsequently received a M.S. in mathematics from Louisiana State University where he also taught Mathematics for two years.
Elliott Brackett - Board Member & Chairman of the Compensation Committee
Elliott joined the board of directors in September of 2008, bringing more than 20 years of experience in new product funding, marketing, acquisitions and turnarounds. Throughout his career, Elliott has been focused on introducing new products to mass markets, gaining international brand recognition and turning companies profitable within the shortest possible time. In 1988, Elliott rescued Lifetime Automotive Products from bankruptcy turning it into an overnight success story. Elliott is a co-founder of Encrypto Inc., is a key founder of NexQL, and currently serves as a consultant for SCA Promotions and Davis Technologies International. Elliott holds a BBA from Southern Methodist University.
Alan B. Howe - Board Member & Chair of the Audit Committee
Alan joined the board of directors in August 2005 and has extensive operational expertise combined with corporate finance and business development experience. Since May 2005, he has served as Vice President of Strategic and Wireless Business Development for Covad Communications, Inc., a national broadband telecommunications company. From April 2001 to May 2005, Alan was a founding partner and principal at Broadband Initiatives, LLC, a boutique consulting and advisory firm. Previously, he was Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Corporate Development of Teletrac, Inc. During Alan's tenure, he assisted with the Chapter 11 reorganization of Teletrac in 1999. Alan joined Teletrac from Sprint, where he was Director of Corporate Development from and one of the initial team members that helped start Sprint PCS. Alan is a member of the board of directors of Proxim Wireless, Alliance Semiconductor Corporation, and Dyntek, Inc. Alan holds a B.A. in business administration from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A.from the Indiana University Kelley Graduate School of Business with a specialty in finance.
Rob Sims - Board Member, President and Chief Executive Officer
As an international storage and data protection veteran with in-depth engineering expertise, Rob joined Crossroads Systems' development and operations team in 1999. Given his outstanding business acumen, success and leadership, Rob rose quickly to the position of board member, President and Chief Executive Officer. Rob currently leads the Crossroads' corporate vision and growth strategy. An accomplished speaker and technologist, Rob brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience in IT design, development and manufacturing, operational management and engineering. Among his numerous accomplishments, Rob is a recipient of the 2008 Most Valuable Performers Award and has been honored with numerous industry recognitions. Prior to joining Crossroads, Rob managed the advanced manufacturing and product test organizations at Kentek Corporation. Rob also previously managed the manufacturing, engineering and quality organizations at Exabyte. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Colorado State University.
