Crossroads SPHiNX
SPHiNX meets the specific needs of corporations, remote offices and data centers by providing a holistic data protection solution saving money, time and resources.
Offering complete disaster recovery capabilities for mid-range server and open system host environments, SPHiNX also scales easily to grow with your business. As a primary repository for backups, SPHiNX can be used as secondary tiered storage for replicated data to meet disaster recovery requirements.
Holistic Data Protection
SPHiNX centralizes, simplifies and consolidates data from your remote offices to central data centers and disaster recovery sites.
Save Money, Time and Resources
SPHiNX reduces your expenses by improving efficiency and better utilizing available resources. The system consolidates tape data to reduce tape media usage and improve backup management.
Reduces Risk
With SPHiNX, human and mechanical errors are minimized. Through targeted protection, tape errors for server backups are mitigated.
Complete Disaster Recovery
SPHiNX provides the ability to replicate a synchronized data copy over the WAN between one or more SPHiNX systems. Flexible policies enable automatic replication of data offsite, with physical tape migration optional.
Scales to Meet Business Growth
SPHiNX can manage multiple host systems and OS types. Capacity seamlessly scales as needed to meet ever-increasing data volumes.
SPHiNX Data Replication and WAN Acceleration
SPHiNX Data Replication provides flexible support for offsite data protection with replication options to consolidate data back to your main site or replicate data from the primary to a remote site for disaster recovery.
SPHiNX WAN Acceleration is an optional software licensed feature that optimizes the replication of data between remote systems to remove unnecessary latencies associated with transmitting data over the network.
SPHiNX Data Encryption
Data Encryption, an optional software licensed feature for SPHiNX, secures data through an Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm with a 256-bit key length. This feature satisfies your regulatory compliance policies regarding the security of data at rest on disk or tape media.
With SPHiNX, you can use software encryption to secure data stored on disk, which remains encrypted during transfer to tape. Or, SPHINX can completely offload the encryption algorithm processing by passing a generated key to a physical tape device equipped with a hardware encryption chipset. Both methods ensure that physical tapes are securely transported offsite and archived in a protected format.
