Lead C++ Engineer - Austin, TX

Location: Austin, TX

We are in need of talented, out-of-the-box thinking Lead C++ Engineer to add to our success and work on our newest game changer, StrongBox! What we are looking for:

  • 8+ years developing C++ applications
  • 6+ years of coding C++ in a Linux environment – CentOS preferred
  • Experience with STL and Boost C++ Libraries
  • Experience with Network Attached Storage, CIFS, and NFS
  • Help review and advise how applications will be architected, designed, and implemented into customer environments
  • Experience with Postgres
  • Strong Object Oriented Programming experience with a focus on performance and scalablity in a multi-threaded applications
  • Experience investigating new technologies and coding practices
  • Ability to lead projects as determined by Software Development Managers
  • Experience with Bash, Ruby, and Python is a plus
  • Detailed understanding of the software design process, from early stages of design through defect resolution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Must be a self starting, strong contributor, with the ability to lead critical projects

Storage Solutions Architect - Austin, TX

Location: Austin, TX

We are growing and need talented, outgoing, analytical thinking Storage Solutions Architect to add to our success and work with our newest game changing storage product, StrongBox!   • The Solutions Architect will be focused on Crossroads Storage/Archive products

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze new sales opportunities from a technical perspective to offer applicable solutions and drive sales
  • Persuasively present and demonstrate Crossroads products' technical attributes
  • Up to 50% travel to visit partners/customers in support of sales and installation requirements, working closely with the sales, support, and engineering teams to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Engage directly with customers on both technical and non-technical levels to drive a superior sales experience
  • Provide technical training to partners and customers, gathering feedback to enhance future product development
  • Work with partners to seamlessly complete product installation and configure systems as expected by customers
  • Effectively troubleshoot and creatively solve system issues associated with product installment and configuration
  • Provide hands-on as well as remote assistance designing and communicating technical solutions
  • Provide technical training for partners and end-users

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Storage Solutions Architect or equivalent experience working as a member of a professional services, or systems engineering team in a customer-facing role, 10 years minimum
  • Storage administration skills in managing SAN and NAS,(NetApp and Isilon prefered)
  • Experience in implementing solutions or managing solutions for moving data (ex. Backup, Archive, Storage Resource Management (SRM) or Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) experience with Application, Network, Disk and Tape integration)
  • Deep knowledge in Data lifecycle management
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP networking and data transfer protocols, NFS, CIFS and S3.
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • Enjoy working with diverse teams to solve technical issues and ensure that customers are empowered to gain maximum value from Crossroads solutions
  • Ability to persuasively position Crossroads solutions to drive sales and channel revenue
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills: in-person, phone, and email
  • Flexibility to travel on short notice as needed
  • Effectively communicate technical subject matter to a non-technical audience
  • Highly organized to manage multiple, simultaneous projects
  • Motivated, self-starter with an aptitude to thrive working in a decentralized environment
